Empowering social enterprise support organisations through peer learning

We are delighted to announce a new peer learning project for 2019-2020 between Europe and the Middle East and North Africa for social enterprise support organisations, delivered as part of the MedUp! project.

Since last year, EN has been a technical partner on the MedUP! project which seeks to promote social entrepreneurship in six MENA countries (Lebanon, Jordan, OPT, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco). In this multi-level project, we work on the meso level to help and strengthen SESOs to develop their services and advance the social enterprise ecosystem.

One way to do so is through a peer-to-peer exchange between SESOs in the MENA region and Europe. This will build on EN’s expertise and previous experience in hosting peer exchanges for civil society and social enterprise leaders.

Participants in this peer exchange will be matched and spend time together face-to-face to learn from each other. Peer to peer learning is an excellent method to build know-how by:

  • finding solutions to shared challenges, based on good practices already in place;
  • sharing different perspectives;
  • learning from each other, while levelling out the hierarchy.

Interested?

It would be great if you would consider being part in such an exchange and join with other EU and MENA SESO representatives in this peer-learning experience. You must be able to commit to spending 5 days in the Middle East/North Africa at the end of January/beginning of February and hosting a counterpart for 5 days in March 2020. The travel and accommodation costs are covered by the European Commission

To apply please get in touch with Christian and send him your CV, role, and the topic(s) you would like to focus on during the exchange (e.g. Development of social enterprise ecosystem, Access to Finance, Business Management, Impact Measurement) before September 27th.
