I am working as operations and program manager at Social Enterprise NL; the national network for social enterprises in The Netherlands. Together with our community of 430 members we strive towards a better ecosystem for social enterprises by engaging stakeholders such as funders, corporates and governments. For our members we provide a membership program for which I am responsible. In this program we offer different kinds of business support, such as masterclasses, mentoring and knowledge groups. It’s a strong community of likeminded system changers who want to build a better world, so we also connect them to each other to learn from each other and work together. Because together we can make more impact.
The motivation and drive of social entrepreneurs to set up a social enterprise and swim against the stream to realise system change, thát is what drives me. I really see social enterprises as the leaders and the champions towards system change. It’s also great to see that already almost 50% of all social enterprises are founded by woman and to see so many women in management positions in the social enterprise sector. I really hope that woman keep starting social enterprises and believe in themselves as leaders, now and in the future!
