I am a system changer and challenger, with diverse experience (previously working in government,NGOs, and private sector). I have been active in social impact, sustainable development and social innovation for over a decade. Realizing that sustainability becomes too complex and difficult to tackle by smaller organizations, I have gathered an amazing women-led team with whom we co-developed Fructify Network, a virtual Knowledge HUB on Sustainability. I am one who believes that kindness and common sense are superpowers. Forgotten in business, these two superpowers may be game-changers. And this is the between-the-lines message we bring to the world with Fructify Network: we can make sustainability chewable, understandable and relatable for companies, while making it utterly human. Sustainability is not only metrics and science – it is also about people changing the system from within, while putting their heart where their brain is.

There is a lot of movement lately in the sustainability space, and we see especially a lot of focus on climate and the environment. This is fair, as we and all living beings are dependent on the environment to survive. On the other hand, change comes only through people, and minimising or overlooking the social dimension is counterproductive and gets us far away from achieving global Goals, such as SDGs and Net-Zero. People and Communities have the power to really turn around the climate disaster (that we "co-authored", anyway...) and the social "pluricrisis" we are facing. Social enterprises, with their Human focus, community approach and responsible practices are a great model to follow and learn from, for different organisations (governments, NGOs, private sector) - and I am happy to be a facilitator and an ecosystem builder in this process. As a "Bonus": The quality of the people working in this sector and their sense of responsibility for missions larger than life is unmatched. I feel part of an inclusive and generous "tribe" that brings the best out of everyone.
