Elianne is the CEO and founder of Go Potty (gopotty.io), a Netherlands-based tech startup. Go Potty is on a mission to protect the planet against the devastating environmental impact of disposable diapers.

Currently, the average age at which kids are potty trained is three years. In the 40’s the average age was one year. A whole lot of polluting disposable diapers can be saved if kids are potty trained earlier again! With the Go Potty app parents and their kids are supported with potty training from 18 months onwards.

Go Potty is Elianne’s second social enterprise. Her first social enterprise is the award-winning non-profit organisation Fruit & Veggie Brigade (Groente & Fruitbrigade). The brigade collects leftover fruit and vegetables and donates these to Dutch food banks. Since the start in 2018 the brigade rescued more than 6 million kilos of fruit and vegetables. Elianne was one of two co-founders. For more info see www.groentefruitbrigade.nl. Elianne left the board of the Fruit & Veggie Brigade at end 2021 to focus fully on Go Potty. The brigade still exists and is thriving.

My hope for the younger generation of women chasing their dreams and realising their ambitions is that they will just do that! Women bring so much potential to solve some of society’s most pressing issues. With passion, caring leadership and a focus on long term impact they can save the planet. So go after that dream. Don’t let anything stop you, tell you it is not possible or that you are crazy.
