Growing up in the Central Valley of California, wine was constantly present. Although it was not until a semester abroad in Spain, during her first undergraduate degree in International Relations and Spanish, that the world of wine caught Deandra’s attention as a future career path and led her to study International Wine Business at Hochschule Geisenheim in Germany.

She has worked at all phases of the wine value chain in Europe and the United States and has since started her own circular wine distribution company to address the biggest problem plaguing the wine industry – single-use glass bottles. Her wine distribution and catering company, Ebb & Flow Keg GmbH, is changing the way is wine is packaged and brought to the market starting a zero-waste revolution for the wine industry in Germany. Her long-term goal is to make the wine industry more inclusive and diverse.

In Anderson’s free time, she remains politically engaged and enjoys gardening, cooking and playing volleyball.

Quote
Over the next 10 years I want to achieve measurable results through market share growth and CO2 emission savings to address SDGs #9, #12 and #17. As a young company, we have the opportunity and duty to build sustainable structures – social, economic, and environmental – that truly rethink how longstanding industries conduct business. We can envision, design and initiate a fairer and greener today and tomorrow.
