Chrysella Lagaria was born congenitally blind in Athens and after studying at both a general and a special school, she studied Psychology at Panteion University. She is the co-founder and CEO of Black Light Social Enterprise and secretary of the Board at the NGO ‘Reading to the Others’, while she was also employed as a guide and social media manager at the significantly successful project Dialogue in the Dark at Badminton Theatre that started in 2013.

What motivates me is my faith in team work as well as my strong belief that social enterprises that combine business and caring for social matters, is the future for the change we need to see happening in the next few years. As a blind woman, I would never picture myself leading a conventional business.
