On 28 September 2026, partners from across Europe came together in The Hague to discuss the EU-funded Social Impact Community Manager (SICoM) Project. At the meeting table in Apollo 14’s famous “Green Room” the SICoM partners engaged in lively conversation on the project’s progress, local differences, cross-country similarities and upcoming steps to bring the project to a successful close.

What the SICoM Team discussed:

  • Ongoing pilot activities of SICoM Trainees in different national and professional contexts
  • Upcoming project deliverables, such as the SICoM Policy Recommendations
  • How to make the SICoM project sustainable going forward, considering the different dynamics and elements at play, and how to transform a successful pilot into a sustained initiative
  • The structure and delivery of key events, such as the upcoming final international multiplier event in November this year

The SICoM Project is a two-year European project bringing together partners from five European countries – The Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, and Cyprus – to develop, test, and scale a new professional profile: the Social Impact Community Manager. SICoM’s training programme is the heart of the project, designed to help social innovators on their journey of community leadership.
