Euclid Network is delighted to welcome the Center for the Development of Social Entrepreneurship “Globus” (CDP “Globus”) as a new member of our growing European community of social enterprise support organisations, ecosystem builders, and changemakers.
Based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, CDP “Globus” has been at the forefront of promoting social entrepreneurship and social innovation since its establishment in 2014. Created by a group of social activists and dedicated professionals, the organisation emerged from a shared commitment to addressing some of the country’s most pressing social challenges, including poverty, unemployment, and social exclusion.
At a time when social entrepreneurship was still a relatively unknown concept in Bosnia and Herzegovina, CDP “Globus” set out to demonstrate its potential as a sustainable tool for creating positive social change. Over the past decade, the organisation has become a key actor in supporting the development of the social economy, helping individuals, civil society organisations, and local communities transform ideas into sustainable initiatives.
Through numerous projects and programmes focused on social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and community development, CDP “Globus” has contributed to the creation of more than 200 jobs through social enterprise development. The organisation has also provided support to hundreds of individuals, civil society organisations, and ecosystem actors working to strengthen the social economy across the country.
Looking ahead, CDP “Globus” has ambitious plans for the future. The organisation aims to become one of the leading regional actors in social innovation and social entrepreneurship across Southeast Europe. Its strategic priorities include strengthening the social entrepreneurship ecosystem, improving access to knowledge and finance, contributing to policy development, and expanding work in areas such as the green and circular economy, youth entrepreneurship, and digital innovation.
International cooperation plays a central role in this vision. CDP “Globus” is committed to creating stronger connections between local social entrepreneurs and European partners, networks, and opportunities, helping organisations in Bosnia and Herzegovina access knowledge, resources, and collaboration beyond national borders.
This commitment to international collaboration is one of the reasons why joining Euclid Network became a natural next step. As the organisation expanded its activities and gained experience supporting social entrepreneurship locally, the need to connect with broader European developments became increasingly important.
CDP “Globus” sees Euclid Network as a leading European community that brings together practitioners, support organisations, researchers, policymakers, and ecosystem actors working to strengthen social innovation and social enterprise development. Through its membership, the organisation looks forward to accessing expertise, exchanging good practices, building partnerships, and contributing to policy discussions at the European level.
Particularly relevant is the opportunity to engage in initiatives focused on institutional innovation, an area that CDP “Globus” considers increasingly important for strengthening organisational resilience, diversifying funding opportunities, and supporting sustainable social entrepreneurship development in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As the country continues its European integration journey, these efforts contribute to broader goals related to democratic governance, social cohesion, citizen participation, and inclusive economic development.
We are delighted to welcome CDP “Globus” to the Euclid Network community and look forward to working together to strengthen social entrepreneurship ecosystems, foster innovation, and create positive impact across Europe.
Welcome to the network!
