Introduction
In France, SEs and SESOs display wide variation in digital maturity. Some have successfully integrated digital strategies into daily operations, while others remain at early stages of adoption. The DiGi-SEII Project report provides detailed insights to guide targeted interventions.
Findings
- Only 2 out of 8 SEs have reached advanced digital maturity.
- Most SEs rely on fragmented, ad hoc tools.
- Persistent barriers include lack of time, human resources, weak digital culture, and complex tools.
Recommendations
- Develop simple digital roadmaps and internal strategies.
- Introduce hybrid roles (digital referents, product owners).
- Enhance peer learning and access to shared resources.
- Provide short, targeted, applied training aligned with field realities.
- Ensure inclusive digital strategies, maintaining offline options where necessary.
Implications
Digitalisation should enhance mission delivery and social impact, not just organisational efficiency. French SEs and SESOs can leverage these recommendations to scale operations sustainably.
