On the 5th & 6th of May 2022 Strasbourg will host the Social Economy, the future of Europe conference, organised by the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union. This conference aims to bring key actors of the social economy over the course of two days together, to discuss and connect with another. 

Euclid Network and our members are proud to co-organise 6 different sessions at the conference. We kindly invite you to join us in exchanging ideas, building alliances, exchange and engaging in the implementation of SEAP. 

Being a woman in the social economy

This workshop informs about recent research and spotlights the experiences of women in the social economy, followed by an intimate session for women to connect – with the objective to create a European community of women changemakers in the social enterprise sector.

Financing brilliant solutions. How to access funding for your social start-up

Social start-ups are driving brilliant solutions, working towards a more inclusive and sustainable economy. Yet, social start-ups continue to face challenges in accessing (the right) funding which inhibits their potential to scale and increase their impact. In this workshop you will hear first-hand testimonials from social start-ups on the difficulty of accessing the right funding and secrets on how they did succeed. Furthermore, you will hear from funders and funding experts about concrete ways in which you can access the right funding for your social start-up.

Territorial Partnerships for the Social Economy: good practice examples

In our workshop we want to share good practice examples around building support structures for social enterprises working with relevant institutions and local authorities. 3 organizations will present their local partnerships in supporting the social economy in a French, German and European-wide perspective. Alongside common topics we examine their success.

How social economy statistics are produced? Why are they important to better understand the socio-economic weight of the social economy? Could we have a harmonised methodology in Europe to measure the socio-economic weight of the social economy?

New ways of participating in EU funds 

When? 6 May, 09:15 – 10:45 CET

A peer-to-peer learning session to boost inter-regional and cross-sectorial strategies with public authorities and social enterprises on how to participate, access and reinforce EU funds. We will present tools, methods and strategies on how to access and manage EU funds. Then, we will discuss best practices to integrate EU opportunities for building social ecosystems.
