As part of our strategic partnership with the European Commission under the EaSI programme, Euclid Network is launching a call for proposals to co-produce 3 short films on social enterprise.

  1. Background and rationale

The European Union commits to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in its policies. Global trade, investment and business activity are the most powerful drivers of economic transformation and social change. So social enterprises, which trade for a social or environmental purpose, offer a business model to help achieve our shared objective for more equitable and sustainable development. Like other businesses, social enterprise creates revenues, jobs and profits but their main objective is to create social value and transform lives for the better. They are working towards an inclusive and circular economy and a more cohesive society.

While the number of social enterprises continues to increase throughout Europe, we believe the visibility and understanding of social enterprise in business, academia, government and wider society can develop much faster and at larger scale.

  1. Objectives – activities – outputs

The general objective of this call for proposals is to support the production of a short film that contributes to raising the understanding and visibility of social enterprises in business, academia, government and wider society. Central themes of the video could be real life stories of social entrepreneurs, “what is a social enterprise?”, success stories, etc. An example of a good video can be accessed here.

The present call for proposals will support organisations to produce a short film and disseminate the short films via online and offline means. We can support the production of a film that has already started.

The successful applicant will:

  • Create an attractive storyline for the video;
  • Provide Video Production equipment;
  • Record the video in English or with English subtitles;
  • Edit the video;
  • Deliver the final video in a format that can be disseminated through the EN website and social media channels;
