27-31 October 2014 – Skopje, Macedonia
From 27 to 31 October 2014, the eagerly awaited Civil Society Peer Exchanges’ masterclasses organised by Euclid Network took place in Skopje, Macedonia. Open to civil society representatives from across the country, the master-classes sought to support skill development and build capacity within the sector.
Focusing on challenges identified at grassroots level, the masterclasses covered: Financial sustainability; Social entrepreneurship and innovation; Policy-making and advocacy; and Transparency and accountability. Led by international experts from a range of sectors (Aperio, Philanthropy Impact, UnLtd, The Institute for Statecraft, NENO, etc.) the master-classes delved deep into the different themes to provide participants with a strong understanding of the issues currently facing civil society.
The inputs received at the masterclass were incorporated by Civil Society Peer Exchanges into a Best Practice Toolkit for civil society representatives in the region.
