15 January 2014 – Strasbourg
The Euclid Network conference took place on 15 January 2014 at the Conseil Général du Bas-Rhin, Strasbourg (France), and was a recognised event of the European Commission’s Social Entrepreneurs: Have Your Say! (Strasbourg, 16- 17 January 2014).
Euclid Network’s conference brought together 150 participants to focus on how civil society and social entrepreneurs can collaborate to find solutions together. Through interactive workshops, participants worked together through:
Learning
During the conference, participants discussed five key challenges, developing and sharing new ideas.
Piloting
Challenges were defined through an open-call for proposals which was launched on 9 September 2013.
Advocating
The best ideas were presented to our Panel of Experts – local, national and European – at the end of the day. Concrete recommendations about policy were collected throughout the conference and fed into the EC’s event the following day.
Networking
Civil society organisations and social enterprises ‘showcased’ themselves during networking breaks.
We also offered ten social entrepreneurship cafes around Strasbourg, led by our partners & members.
Following the conference, British Council hosted a reception at 17:30 in the foyer of the Conseil Général du Bas-Rhin.
